About Angela Yee

See Angela's personal website and personal blog for more information about her writing, projects, and speaking.

Angela Yee's passion is organizing events, time, space, items, and information in the context of Christian ministry. She has been organizing since she was a child (she starting filing her papers beginning in third grade), but her great joy is helping others to be more effective in their ministries through better organization.

Angela was born and raised in Illinois and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois. Upon graduating, she promptly moved to Northern California with her family, just in time for the earthquake of 1989. Being new to the area, she watched her swaying furniture and wondered what to do in an earthquake, until a coworker dove under her desk. She followed suit just in time to avoid being flattened by items jumping off bookshelves.

Angela met her husband Albert at a garbage can in their church. She has no recollection of meeting him, until the day he sent her a letter - which happened to be the same day as the earthquake. After receiving this letter that "shook her world," the rest is history. This year they happily celebrated their sixteenth anniversary.

When it is time to fill out forms, Angela is baffled as to what to put in the space for "occupation." She has worked as a graphic designer, marketing coordinator, computer graphics specialist, temporary secretary, shoe store clerk, office systems developer, pastoral associate and events/conference director. She is currently Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries at University Covenant Church in Davis, Califronia.

However, her many interests are centered around her calling to serve the Lord, whom she follows wholeheartedly and enthusiastically. She helped start and coordinate women's conferences on the East and West Coast. As a result, she wrote and published The Christian Conference Planner, and The Christian Conference Planner Toolkit. As a result of homeschooling her children, she also recently published a book for children about ancient history, Learning With Stuffed Animals: Ancient History. Her new book is I'm Not Neat But I'm Organized.
